Job Summary:

* Designs and writes the scripts required to extract, transform, clean,
and move data and meta data so it can be loaded into a packaged application,
data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store.
* Works with business requirements analysts to understand user
requirements
* Evaluates, selects, tests, and optimize software products
* Defines and documents the technical specification designs of all
programming applications
* Follow proper development processes and standards. Conduct code
reviews.
* Broad experience in interfacing with a global delivery vendor and
delivery model
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements Job Requirements:
* Candidate should posses at least 5-7 years in a direct role supporting
EDW and/or Architecture Applications/functional area
* Candidate should posses at least 6- 11 years of Data Warehousing
experience
* Candidate must have at least 5+ years of experience working with Ab
Initio
* Access current technical application architecture
* Works with business requirements analyst to identify and understand
source data systems
* Map source system data to the appropriate data model
* Develops and tests extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
* Defines and captures meta data and rules association with extraction
processes
* Adapts application processes to accommodate changes in source systems
and new business user requirements
* Demonstrated competency in all phases of software development. Good
understanding of MPP and or large SMP environments.
* Good understanding of data modeling and design considerations for
analytical systems.
* Good understanding of database administration, tuning, and space
management. Demonstrated competency in all phases of software development. Good
understanding of MPP and or large SMP environments.
* Must have at least intermediate level skills with tools and products
used in data mart development, such as Oracle, DB2, Neteeza or Teradata,
Relational databases, SQL, UNIX in a distributed environment utilizing MPP and
SMP architectures, Shell Scripting, ETL tools for large data volumes such as Ab
Initio, Data Mirror, and Unix-base scheduling tools, such as AUTOSYS
* Understanding source and targets data structures, application processes
and all related software products
