* GOOD BASIC/HIGHER LEVEL SAP HR PAYROLL Understanding 
* REQUIRE at least 5+ years of payroll experience 

 

We are seeking an experienced (5+ years) SAP HCM Payroll Lead to be the prime 
client facing contact for Payroll related work. This person must have excellent 
client facing and communication skill as well as solid expertise in the SAP 
Payroll area. Work is in the form of support, break/fix, and enhancements. The 
resource will perform design, configuration and testing of the U.S. Payroll 
(PY) component of SAP HCM. Must have extensive knowledge of and experience in 
the Payroll component of SAP, as well as the various integration points with 
SAP Time Management and Benefits. Experience with the ESS components as they 
relate to Payroll is highly desirable. Experience with using the ALE data 
transfer process to send and receive data from a separate SAP Finance instance 
is huge plus. 

 

Specific SAP HCM-specific knowledge and experience should include: 
Configuration of wage types, tax models, off-cycle activities, payroll rules 
and schemas, garnishments, remuneration statements, check printing/direct 
deposit, FI postings, third party remittance and tax reporter. This is a full 
(gross-to-net) SAP Payroll implementation, with full integration to the other 
SAP HCM components.

 

Specialized/Practical Knowledge: 

* Experience with SAP HR data migration tools is preferred 
* Functional knowledge of HR payroll business processes and union processing 
(as it relates to benefits) is required 
* Experience to include SAP Payroll configuration, testing, roll-out and 
post-implementation support 
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed 
* Ability to work as a team player in a SAP project environment 
* Able to collaborate with HR ABAP developers during development of 
specifications for HR forms, reports, interfaces and conversions 


Management Skill: 

* Able to administer or coordinate programs or processes. 

* Mentor and guide lower-level HCM resources.

 

Interaction: The successful candidate should have excellent communication 
skills in the English language. This position requires the ability to develop 
successful business and customer relationships, understand customer business 
processes, and provide solutions to business requirements. 

 

Complexity/Problem Solving: The successful candidate should have strong 
analytical and problem solving skills. This position requires candidate to 
develop SAP HCM solutions for moderate to complex business requirements. This 
may include researching possible solutions, and configuring and testing various 
options in SAP before proposing a solution.
