The candidate must have commercial and federal level of experience with ESM and Tivoli. Candidate would have good exposure and knowledge of service provider services and management / monitoring functions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and experience working in a large and structured Operations Center or Data center hosting facility. Duties will include design and specification of the system as well as support in development direction and management. The Enterprise System Architect will be responsible for the building, testing, implementation, maintenance and managing of system and application performance monitoring systems for the enterprise. Design conceptual, logical and physical systems management architecture including interfaces for integration with existing/legacy systems. Research and recommend new technologies to fulfill the mission of the Enterprise Systems Management team. ESM Environment The Forest Service ESM environment consists of the following: · Approximately 40,000 Windows-based computers. · Approximately 1,100 IBM RS/6000 Servers. · Approximately 350 Windows 2003 Servers · Approximately 300 Linux Servers · Ten geographical service centers across the U.S. · The following products are utilized to provide the means to implement ESM in the Forest Service: · Tivoli Configuration Manager 4.2.3 · Tivoli Enterprise Console 3.9 · IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.21 · Remote Control 3.8.1 · Netview 7.5.1 · ITM Tivoli Data Warehouse · Proof of Concept and/or beta-test new automated products or methods · Document, develop, test, install and integrate new products and solutions with the goal of improving the ESM infrastructure · Administer, configure and maintain in-house and commercial automated products and solutionsWork as assigned with diverse teams in order to integrate new requirements, technologies, processes, tools and designs into the ESM infrastructure, policies and standards · Responsible for assessing current management tools and recommend best practice solutions for large-scale enterprise systems · Recommend several scenarios for the migration of Tivoli TEC to Netcool Omnibus including best practices and potential problems to avoid · Provide support for the ESM Team in meeting their SLA * * *Required Skills:* *Tivoli module skills:* · Expert knowledge of Tivoli Configuration Manager 4.2.3 · Tivoli Provisioning Manager · Tivoli Enterprise Console 3.9 Prolog rule writing · ITM 5.1.2 · ITM 6.1/6.21 · Remote Control 3.8.1 · Netcool Omnibus – administration and rule writing · Tivoli Business Systems Manager 4.2 · Operating system skills: · AIX knowledge and system administration background · Linux knowledge and system administration background · Windows 2003 Server knowledge and system administration background · Windows 2000/XP knowledge and experience in a large scale ESM enterprise environment (>40,000 endpoints) * * *Other skills: * · Over 10 years experience with Tivoli in a large-scale, distributed environment managing Windows and UNIX operating systems · Scripting in Perl/Bourne on Windows and UNIX platforms · Scripting with VBS and WSH on a Windows platform · Knowledge of Tivoli Inventory integration with CA UAPM · Experience with integrating Tivoli modules with LDAP, Active Directory and Single-Sign-On technologies. · Experience with database integration issues · Knowledge of SQL and Tivoli Common Reporting to provide reports for higher level management on SLA and KPI metrics. · Experience with integrating Tivoli TEC with Netcool suite, CA eHealth, Oracle GRID control, Cisco Works and Microsoft SCOM · Knowledge of TEC integration with Right Now CRM applications via XML · Experience in server-side technologies, and content management systems · Excellent understanding of high-availability and scalable platform architecture · Proven ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and drive issues to resolution · Very strong ability to juggle multiple projects and to cope with changing priorities** *-- -- Regards Tanuja Chowdary Resource Manager Credent Technologies LLC [email protected] 860-656-7012* --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP_LAB" group.
