organizational reps and individuals from all over the country.
-Sapna and Shashi attended as SAPAC representatives.
-One of the main issues was how to keep NRI-SAHI running while its founder is in
India/Pakistan for the next 6 months. A steering committee was created that included
(among others) Sapna/Shashi (SAPAC); Dr. Lamba (SAGAR); Imtiaz Uddin (CSDI).
-The general function of this group is to facilitate national action when needed for
example, signing the "Promise of India" appeal; finding volunteers to go on India/Pak
friendship trips etc.

reform in India. FDRI will be launching the FDRI Chicago Chapter On Oct 26th
-Oct 18th: Planning meeting for the kick-off event on Nov 8th in Downers Grove
-The purpose of the Nov 8th event is to bring other members into the coalition and
agree on common values and action plans for the next year.
-SAGAR will be sending around a flyer inviting everyone.
-Looking for other groups to come to this Nov 8th event AIF (American-Indian
Foundation); UofC; UIC SAPC
