This is the new web site for the Asian & Pacific Islander Institute on Domestic Violence, a national network of advocates, activists, community members and others working to eliminate domestic violence in Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities. The organization and its web site serve as a forum for, and clearinghouse on, information, research, resources and critical issues about violence against women in API communities. The web site includes information on gender violence in specific API ethnic and demographic communities, as well as statistics on abuse and information on organizing strategies to prevent family violence. It also documents the critical issues the Institute is working on, such as culture and domestic violence, trafficking of women and children, economic empowerment, and more.
