In regards to the current discussion on South Asia and human rights, I am sure we are all aware there has existed one tendency of pitting human rights concerns of groups against each other -- of this I won't speak further right now. With regards to the postings involved here, I can't say too much since I am not aware of too much of the particulars, never having met most of the people in the exchange (although I would be pleased to make acquitence).

However it seems to me a great time to say that the spirit of Sapac is an emphatic embrace of humanism and human rights broadly stated, an emphatic embrace of the dignity of all people, of all people ( I say it twice with great happiness), based on the innate and beautiful right of all people to live in peace and safety.

Forgive me if it seems I am speaking for other people in the group, but it is my belief that Sapac will always be a place to bring concerns of human rights violations against anyone or any group in South Asia, and I believe we will always be a place where anyone seeking to connect with others on human rights concerns may come, to share information, to make conversation, to seek corrective action.

Amar raye pyar sarai zindagi thy vara ---- I am not fluent in Punjabi, but I think I said, may our love for the world and all its people live forever.

Peace, I'm out yo
