The Council is continuing the "New Faces of Chicago" series with a
program on the South Asian American Experience. The program will
increase awareness of the history, concerns and economic contributions
of the South Asian American population in the Chicago metropolitan
area.
Padma Rangaswamy and Ann Kalayil, directors of the South Asian American
Policy and Research Institute, will discuss the release of the Public
Policy Opportunities for South Asian Americans presented by the 2000
Census.
