Long term ongoing- Local only please, Senior Automation Tools Engineer *Category: * Software Engineer *Description: * The Senior Automation Tools Engineer will be a member of the Quality team whose primary responsibility is to identify and develop quality software libraries and part of the framework team associated with the design, production, and release of software products across applications in an enterprise scale service environment. As a member of the Automation Team, you will review existing libraries, test scripts, product design documents, as well as create and make the test library modular for code reuse. You will also generate documentation on how to use the library and scripts for wider adoption across cross functional teams. * Design, create and assists with the management of reusable modular test script and libraries(log4j etc). * Promotes quality practices in all phases of the software development lifecycle * Develops effective automation framework modules and works with team members to get more adoption * Initiates, monitors and verifies the framework adoption * Participates in the bug resolution process as reported by other automation teams found in framework * Work with team members and automation leads, participates in the review and selection of tools * Identify technologies to optimize existing quality practices and recommend usage * Preserve the existing scripts by making them compatible as part of framework with least effort * Represents and promotes automation and quality assurance methods, processes, tools and procedures *Requirements: * Required * Minimum of 5-7 years experience in test software development and development of test tools. * Hands on experience and 3+ years developing modular test libraries, scripts, and tools. * Strong coding and understanding in Java, VB Script, and Log libraries. * Strong knowledge in database and ETL processes (Informatica power center and CA Erwin, highly preferred). * 2 years experience working with test automation code generated by Segue Silk, HP QTP, IBM RFT, etc. * Experience developing comprehensive test code and organizing for complex applications. * 1-2 years working with Web based product architectures. * Ability to assess automation complexity of web based products and think out-of-the box for solutions. * 1-2 years with Oracle on UNIX, Solaris, and Linux preferred, experience in Windows OS a plus. * 1-2 years with SQL, creating PL/SQL and gathering test data from databases. * Experience developing test harness (CLI) for testing Java, JavaScript, and XML based products. * Experience with testing applications using framework on TomCat, WebSphere or Apache web servers * Experience with Object-oriented Software Development Methodologies * Minimum of a MS degree in technology related field (equivalent experience will be considered). * Networking skills a plus In addition to the above required skills, it is preferred that candidates also have some or all of the following skills: * Ability to code/code review the following languages: TCL, Expect, Perl, Action script, MXML, Ajax, HTML5 * Familiarity and experience with the Eclipse and Flash Builder IDEs * Experience with JMeter, JUnit, JPerformer, JTest, ANT/Maven, LoadRunner, Selenium, YSlow/FireBug * Basic understanding of Cisco networking devices -- Thanks & Regards, Sanjay Kumar (SAP, Peoplesoft, Datawarehouse, Java Expert) Beta Soft Systems, Inc., Fremont, CA 94538 Work- 510-744-1700 Ext. 308 | Fax- 1-800-368-1322| [email protected] |www.betasoftsystems.com Yahoo ID : [email protected] Join my LinkedIn Network: http://www.linkedin.com/in/sapsanjay We are "Certified Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE)".
