Admin on UNIX servers, NIS/NIS+/DNS/NFS/Samba/Send Mail, Capacity Planning, Syslog & Log management * * *Job Description: * Expertise in Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux Servers Experience in Installation and configuration of HA environment using VERITAS Cluster & Red Hat Cluster Suite Expert knowledge Account and Printer administration Practical knowledge of configuration and administration of Linux LVM and VERITAS volume manager In depth knowledge of Patch and package administration In depth knowledge of Installing and Maintaining Linux Kick start environment Basic hands on Identify system performance bottleneck and tune the system for optimal performance Good hands on knowledge in tuning of kernel parameters Expertise in writing shell scripts Good understanding of SAN environment, HBA Configuration Expertise console device Administration Proficiency in troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues Advance knowledge of capacity planning and fine tuning system for optimal performance Good knowledge of Installation, configuration and Administration of Netback up environment Good knowledge of administration of NIS or LDAP environment Good experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Disaster recovery & continuity plan Advance knowledge of configuring Linux Security baseline *Will be responsible for * Installation/Upgrade & Configuration of Servers – Network Configuration, Firmware Install, OS Install, Filesystem Configuration. User Admin on UNIX servers Jumpstart Environment Management – Develop Standards & Policies, Set Images, develop/Maintain scripts. Patch implementation & maintenance, Licensing, Boot Prom Management and Performance Management. Service Management – NIS/NIS+/DNS/NFS/Samba/Send Mail, Capacity Planning. Security Administration – Add/remove/Troubleshoot Security Policies. Tools Administration – Agent Installation Device Management – Installing & Configuring devices. Syslog & Log management Documentation – Systems/tool/Service management documents update. Process related activities, Scripts Maintenance. Perform Webmaster / Admin Activities on Apache / Tomcat or any other Webservers.
