I would like to speak to you about an *Application Migration and Monitoring
consulting* opportunity with a client of ours located in Phoenix, AZ. This
project will have an initial duration of 3-6 months and will begin in the
next couple of weeks.
This position will monitor and manage a high volume *Microsoft ASP.Net web
application*.
The candidate will be responsible for migrating application code between
environments, monitoring the application, and responding to events involving
the application.
Tasks:
• Reviews and Executes *Oracle PL/SQL* Scripts
• Migrates application between environments
• Coordinates production moves between multiple parties
• Responsible for ensuring audit compliance for change management
• Reviews Windows security patches and approves installation
• Monitors application logs and emails
• Able to diagnose root cause for application unavailability
individually or by working with a team
• On call 24/7 – Will carry BlackBerry or similar device
• Participates in critical situation calls
Skills Required:
• Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Plus (SQL Server experience cannot be
substituted)
• Experience monitoring and managing *IIS/ASP.Net*
• Experience with managing Windows Servers
• Experience writing batch files for Windows OS
• Experience managing a source control environment
