*Quality Assurance Engineer – Senior Job Description*
*Roles and Responsibilities:*
- Responsible for the preparation and execution of tests for software
products as well as reporting test results
- Conducting analysis of complex software applications and system
functionality
- Use innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to
proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies.
- Perform and lead testing activities to verify successful implementation
of application requirements via manual testing of daily builds using test
procedures, regression, negative and black box testing.
- Testing which will employ ad-hoc evaluation to ensure compliance of
quality standards.
- Provide analytical expertise for new requests, and for production
issues/defects reported in our existing systems (e.g. trending and root
causal analysis).
*Minimum Qualifications:**
*To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge,
skills, and abilities listed below:
- Strong leadership and organization skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management,
interpersonal and team participation.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and be able to
communicate effectively with various teams.
- Demonstrated ability to systematically gather relevant information from
different sources to address an issue and make a prompt and insightful
decision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving,
organizational, issue resolution.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation.
- B.S. in Computer Science or other related work experience will be
considered
- 5 or more years of testing large scale software applications
*Preferred Qualifications:**
*Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential
consideration:
Software development experience in the following areas:
- Ability to develop test tools utilizing various languages (VB6, VB.NET,
C#, SQL)
- BlackBox and Automated Testing tools and technologies
- Agile development/test methodologies
- AHLTA System experience and architecture
