*BI Analyst (Contract to Hire) ---6 Months*
*Location: **Orange County, CA, United States *

Client located near the Fountain Valley, CA area. As a SAP Business
Intelligence Systems Analyst you will be part of an agile Business
Intelligence team that is responsible for the implementation of SAP BW and
Business Objects. This position will be a key member to the successful
deployment and adoption of a new Business Intelligence Strategy along with
maintaining existing BI solutions and the support for the SAP ECC
implementation.
*Job Responsibilities:*
• Working with SAP Project Team and business resources to gather business
requirements and drive functional and technical designs for BI Solutions
(Data Warehouse, ETL, Metadata, Operational/Tactical/Strategic Reporting,
and Dashboards)
• Interface with all stakeholders including senior managers and c-level
executives to capture business requirements. Support a wide range of
business groups including Finance, Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain, and
HR.
• Research complex data issues with business colleagues; examine data in
various source systems (SAP and non-SAP) for inconsistencies, review
transformation logic and propose corrective alternatives.
• Ability to work independently and as a team to deliver projects on time
and on budget with a high degree of quality
• Work with multiple IT and cross-functional project teams to accomplish
development activities that will include (but not be limited to) logical and
physical data modeling leveraging BI design principles, semantic layer
modeling and design, universe design and development, report design,
development, testing and deployment, dashboard design, development, testing
and deployment
• Creation of detailed solution documentation and presentations
• Provide full life-cycle support and development of BI solutions from
requirements to go-live support
• Provide support for all BI Solutions
• Metadata and user entitlement management
• Provide cross-train and knowledge transfer to other BI Team members and
business users
• Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed
expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer
issues a priority
*Requirements:*
The candidate should have 5+ years of Business Intelligence where Business
Objects were used. Business Objects experience should include strong working
knowledge of WebIntelligence, Designer, Crystal Reports, Enterprise and
Xcelsius. Experience in a SAP environment, use of SAP BW, BEx and
integration with Business Objects is also desirable.
Additionally the following requirements should be meet:
• A BA/BS Degree is required
• Strong report development experience using WebIntelligence, Crystal
Reports, and Xcelsius
• Understanding of Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 (and higher)
architecture
• Strong knowledge of Business Objects Designer using both Relational and
OLAP sources
• Knowledge of SAP functional teams and KPI/Metrics needed to support them
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously
• Ability to navigate with SAP ECC and BW to perform research and analysis
tasks
• Knowledge of sourcing SAP ECC, BW and other relational data sources for
Crystal Reports
• Excellent communication skills
