Employer: Internet/Web Architect Description: The Internet/Web Architect will be part of the architecture team of a new internet initiative to build a large-scale SOA based system centered on multiple financial platforms delivering top-notch value to our customers. The architect will work with multiple stakeholders, leadership, technical and subject matter experts, to architect, design and document the services & integration strategies using multiple architectural models to ensure the current and future needs of the various platforms will be met in an efficient, sustainable and adaptable manner. Responsibilities: • Provide architectural direction to multiple teams responsible for the implementation of the various aspects of the solution. • Identify the services needed for the solution and work with enterprise services team to define the operations and contract • Demonstrable detailed understanding of architectural design principles and methods, technology and standards. • Interact with business users to understand the requirements and identify architecturally significant issues. • Identify and document the solution for architecturally significant issues. • Take the solution through enterprise architecture review process at various stages of SDLC. • Identify and define the strategy for integrating various 3rd party applications and other internal systems with the solution. • Top notch communication skills, the motivation to drive various team members, and the ability to multitask and deliver quality results. • Experience working with geographically distributed teams and offshore vendors. WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related area; Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related a plus. • Minimum of 2 years experience with web 2.0 technologies – AJAX, REST, CSS, HTML and javascript. • 2-4 years experience in content management with an emphasis on integration with custom built applications, experience with Autonomy Interwoven Teamsite is preferred. • Experience in the financial industries and an understanding of security and compliance related issues is a plus. • Minimum of 8 years experience designing, developing and implementing multi-tiered solutions with a preference for 2 years experience with middleware technologies preferred. • Minimum of 5 years design and implementation experience with Java or .NET • Sound understanding of UML and any industry leading web/application server. • Experience in architecting, designing, development and implementation of integration solutions including designing and implementing enterprise application integration with specialization in service oriented architectures and application integration architectures. • Preference given to banking experience especially banking experience designing SOA solutions for high-availability systems. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written including clear and concise articulation.
