*Skills:*
*· The individual should have full access to any IBM proprietary
software most likely via telephone support.*
*· AIX certification 6.1 or higher*
*· Power VM Certification*
*· Bachelor or higher level degree*
*· 5 years performing in a senior administrator capacity with the
UNIX (AIX) software version 6.1 or higher in a production and test
multi-tier multi-server internet facing environment (e.g. installation,
administration, support, configuration, problem determination for software
such as operating systems)*
*· One year experience supporting AIX on IBM P7 series hardware,
P750 or higher (e.g. system design, assembly, configuring, upgrading,
problem determination, proactive maintenance)*
*· Three years experience with PowerVM networking using IVE,
shared Ethernnet adapters and ether channeling, preferably using Cicso
switches*
*· At least one project with experience on NPIV on 8 GB SAN
adapters*
*· At least one project with experience using Storage Area
Networks for purposes of booting from SAN in a Power VM environment.
Preferably with XIV storage.*
*· Three years experience with IBM Power VM including the use of
version 2.2*
*· Five years experience in system analysis to increase the
availability and performance of*
* complex multi-server Production Unix environments in support
of public facing applications*
* with documented results (e.g. identifying issues, solutions
and strategies).*
*· Five years experience with third party Commercial Off The Shelf
(COTS software in a large*
* multi-server Unix(AIX) production and test multi-tier
multi-server internet facing environment*
* (e.g. installing, maintaining, tuning, configuring, problem
determination).*
*· Five years experience using third party performance monitoring
tools on a UNIX platform*
* (e.g. installation, administration, configuration for tools
such as Tivoli product suite, BMC).*
*· Two years experience with Oracle database servers preferably in
a RAC environment (e.g.*
* installing, supporting, configuring, problem determination).*
*· Five years time and experience showing hands on duties
supporting UNIX(AIX) based shell*
* scripts in a production environment (e.g. writing,
implementing, maintaining).*
*· Two years experience with firewalls, F5Big IP, and DMZ's (e.g.
