*I have one position and it is for a Senior FICO Consultant with more
experience on the CO side than the FI side. We just placed an FI Consultant
with them yesterday. I need  candidates have to be US Citizens. They are
asking for 5 years (minimum) of SAP FICO and as I mentioned, a little
stronger on the CO side with  PCA, CCA, IO, CO-PC and COPA. They will be
based in Wilmington, DE until September and then most of the work will be in
Washington, DC. AMTRAK will pick up expenses between the two sites if travel
is involved between the 2 locations. They will not pay any other expenses. *

*SECTION 1: PURPOSE*

* *

Amtrak Information Technology (IT) currently provides a broad set of
services to the business that are essential to supporting ongoing business
operations and delivery of new business capabilities.



The organization is currently in the midst of deploying a large scale
project delivering Financial, Procurement and Logistical functionality to
the end-user community.  This delivery will expand the current footprint of
SAP within the Center of Expertise (COE) from Human Resources and Payroll to
include Finance, Controlling, Project Systems, Material Management, Sales &
Delivery, and Business Intelligence.  As a result of this increased
responsibility, Amtrak is seeking to supplement current resource skills to
support ongoing operations.



The objective of this Statement of Work is to secure the appropriate
functional resources to allow the Enterprise System Management’s COE
organization to properly fill its operational positions and meet the agreed
upon service levels negotiated with the business.

*SECTION 2: SCOPE OF SERVICES*

The scope of this effort is to provide functional and configuration support
to the Enterprise Systems Management Center of Expertise (ESM COE)
organization.  The Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) Senior Consultant will
apply strong knowledge of the business processes for developing and testing
SAP functions associated with financial operations, which includes expertise
in general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset management,
cost center accounting, product cost controlling, profitability analysis,
and profit center accounting.  The individual must have a deep understanding
of FI/CO, including the FI/CO sub-modules, SAP best practices, and the
ability to advise Enterprise Systems Management COE personnel on these
practices.  Successful candidates will also have a strong ability to
understand Amtrak’s production business processes and create solutions
addressing the current and future needs of the organization.





Please Provide a Job Description (Breakdown of Daily Activities)

Support the transition from Project to Post Go-Live Support by performing
break/fix analysis and resolution

Lead and manage small teams implementing business process improvements and
implementing SAP FI/CO systems for Amtrak

Conduct solution architecting workshops with the business managers.  Work
with Amtrak staff and end-users to determine the functional requirements for
the system within the SAP FI/CO module.

Create detailed systems documentation, test scripts, and presentations.

Leverage business and technical expertise to address technology
architecture, blueprinting, data analysis, business modeling, technical
design, application development, integration, and enablement.

Configure the SAP FI/CO system to meet the business requirements.

Manage and oversee the design and development of customized reports,
utilizing ABAP technical resources and other tools (e.g., report writer)
functionality within SAP.

Design and development of interfaces programs to/from existing partner
systems.

Provide general technical support in FI/CO business systems analysis for our
business customers and conduct SAP training as required for internal COE
personnel.

Provide leadership and guidance to other systems analysts and client
personnel assigned to the projects.



Years / Level of Experience (Junior / Mid / Senior)

Senior Level with minimum of 5 years hands-on experience writing Customer
Requirements, Functional Requirements, Non-Functional Requirements,
Performance Requirements, Design Requirements.

Description of Technical Skills

Must Have Skills

·         Five (5) years of prior professional consulting or equivalent
finance and controlling business process industry experience within SAP.

·         Three (3) years of recent hands-on systems configuration
experience within the SAP FI/CO module, including experience with 4 to 5 of
the following sub modules:  AP, AR, GL, SL, AA, FM, CCA, PA, PC or PCA.

·         Successful completion of at least two full life cycle
implementations of an SAP FI/CO system.

·         One (1) year of team lead experience leading small functional
teams in FI/CO business process improvement initiatives OR SAP FI/CO
information systems implementations.

·         Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle and system
implementation methodologies.

·         Ability to travel extensively (25%)—time may be split between
Washington DC and Wilmington DE.

Strong Plus (But Not Required)

·         SAP’s Project Systems experience

·         Experience in Operation Support



Description of Softer Skills

·         Expert in Visio, creating swim lanes, process flow and arch
diagrams

·         Excellent documentation and organizational skills(will be required
to pull information from various sources and put some structure and
organization around the documentation)

·         Ability to conduct interview sessions and document findings

·         Required to participate in many meetings and create agenda items
prior to meeting and produce detail meeting minutes within 24 hours
turnaround time

·         Excellent knowledge of business analysis techniques including
interviews, questionnaires, user observation, workshops, brain storming, use
cases development, role playing and prototyping.

·         Excellent verbal and written communications

·         Ability to understand and craft business processes and procedures

·         Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail &
capacity to assign priorities to multiple competing and important activities
under tight deadlines.

·         Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills,
demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of end-users.

·         Well organized with consistent attention to detail and quality

·         Team player with excellent interpersonal skills



Degrees or Certifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information
Systems, Engineering, or equivalent discipline required.
