SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER
STAMFORD, CT 12 Months $45/hr JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develops, revises, implements and services software programming applications. * Common activities: supports, tests and installs software applications and operating systems. * Work within a small fast paced team to develop and maintain web based enterprise software. * Capable of short-term assumption of project responsibilities in the absence of senior engineer. * Will work as part of a project team either at junior or intermediate level. * The software manages the creation and storage of commercial artwork from conception to production. * The developer will be expected to work on the design, development, testing and maintenance of the client's D2L product line. * Good communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team are critical to this position. * Must have ability to interface with multiple client contacts, including users, and work independently with minimal guidance and direction from a senior engineer. EXPERIENCE: Candidate has atleast 5 years of relevant experience. BS degree required Worked for a company which had an enterprise level web based application. Developed using Object Oriented PHP, Oracle Databases and JQuery. * 2 years experience designing object oriented enterprise web based systems. * 2 years experience programming in PHP 5.x or higher. * 2 years experience managing websites with Internet Information Services (IIS) 6 or higher. * 2 years experience developing database driven applications with Oracle 9 or higher. * 2 years experience with code repository management tools such as Subversion (SVN) * 2 years experience developing Web 2.0 User Interfaces with AJAX, Javascript and JQuery * Has worked in a team environment EDUCATION: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Thanks, Archana Kulkarni (Archie) MetaSense, Inc.
