This new resource should have 7+ years of development experience in
Microsoft .NET languages.
This resource needs to be proficient in:
· Communication Skills
· ASP.NET
· JavaScript
· SQL Server T-SQL
· Multi-tiered architecture
A basic knowledge of some of the following would also be nice:
· AJAX
· Web Services in .NET
· AjaxControlToolkit
· Windows Services in .NET
· Console Applications in .NET
· Asynchronous Processing
· Oracle PL-SQL
· Telerik Web Controls
· .NET – SAP Integration (RFC Connector)
This resource’s primary responsibility would be the maintenance and
enhancement of our recently-developed label printing web site. Our label
printing web site is a fairly extensive, multi-tiered application consisting
of
· An ASP.NET v3.5 web front end that utilizes AJAX architecture and
AJAXControlToolkit components, consumes web services, and contains some
fairly complex JavaScript
· SQL Server 2005 database back end, containing some fairly complex
SQL queries
· data access web service, written in .NET 3.5, that is capable of
accessing a number of data stores including Oracle and SQL Server, with SAP
and MfgPro integration being added later this year
· .NET 3.5 Windows service layer that integrates with
· third-party purchased label printing software package that
interfaces with the Intelligent Authoring product that houses all EHS
products, formulas, etc.
· .NET 3.5 scheduled executable program that serves as load
balancing software to manage any number of label printing servers in the
architecture.
· .NET 3.5 monitoring/alerting application and health check web
site to ensure high availability
This application is one of our most business-critical applications, because
it provides plants worldwide (particularly in Europe) the ability to print
custom shipping labels for their products.
