Title: QA TESTER Location: ALEXANDRIA,VA Duration: FULLTIME The 3 MUST HAVE Skills:: - QA Testing Published Description: Position: Junior Software Quality Assurance Specialist Education: Must have a Bachelors degree in an IT related field. Clearance: Ability to achieve a DOD Secret and/or Top Secret. Job Description: Information security product and Services Company is seeking Junior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our product development team. Ideal candidate should be team / people oriented, a self-starter, strong deductive reasoning, extreme attention to detail, persistence, patience, creativity, and independent problem solver. • Tests TrustedAgent software to ensure proper performance and ease of use, based on programmer/user specifications. Tests both new functionalities and updated or modified versions of existing functionalities. Determines if software meets end users' needs. • Locates and identifies bugs in software, and verifies when bugs have been resolved. Document steps for bug replication for development team to identify and address issue. • Interfaces with development team(s) to address issues related to performance and ease of use. Provides feedback regarding necessary enhancements to optimize ease of use. Utilizes a variety of methods for communicating issues, including composing business reports, in person meetings, and specialized bug reporting software. Contributes to the entire software development life cycle from initial business requirements to deployment. • Follows test scripts to test software in key critical areas. Assists in developing test scripts. • Assists in the development and maintenance of content libraries for various clients. • Prepare system, site, and program security controls and C&A document templates • Test TrustedAgent content to ensure accuracy and correctness of content materials. • Be able to maintain servers including refresh codes updates for testing. • Support on-site installation, upgrade and testing as required. • Attends staff and technical meetings as needed. • Maintains currency on relevant information regarding the system architecture. Required Skills: • 2+ or more years of enterprise software testing • 2+ or more years of content management including documentation. • Details-oriented with excellent follow-up and follow-through • Experience with data manipulation within Microsoft Access, Excel and Word • Experience in facilitating requirements from end-users • Experience in reviewing and designing test cases based on high level requirements • Be able to identify and troubleshoot issues in highly-scalable, highly-redundant environments • Must have software testing and/or content management background in software development and prior system integration experience on a medium to large project. • Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and written, to end users, the project team and executive management. • Manage time effectively and with minimal supervision. • Ability and willingness to multi-task and work in an often high pressure environment with deadlines. • Team player must be able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other contract members of the project team.
