Hey Guys, I have a requirement from one of my clients. They are looking for a Release Engineer. *Location : *City:Brisbane, State: CA - California *Primary Skills : *Apache, ClearCase, Release Engineer, RPM *Secondary Skills : *Perl,UNIX *Project Duration : *12 months + *Local or nearby preferred, Face to Face after phone interview* *Job Title : *Release Engineer *Job Description : *GENERAL SUMMARY: The Release Engineer provides leadership and support for engineering-wide release activities. This individual has primary responsibility for the processes and systems used for managing the source code environment and the test environment set up within Clients, with an eye toward improving our external product delivery process. This individual is also responsible for creating software builds and installation images for production environment deployment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Day-to-Day Release Work (70%) • Define and maintain processes and systems used for source code control, and change management and test environments • Ensure successful builds and releases of company software • Create software installation images for production deployment • Ensure the stability and reproduction of the Clients Web site and internal systems • Promote corporate-wide development practices • Help develop productivity-enhancing tools and scripts for configuration management user community Software Tools (10%) • Develop tools to facilitate our internal software development process including, but not limited to, tools for release management, configuration, builds, and automated regression.
