*Business Systems Analyst* *Location: in San Jose, CA* *6+ month * *Rate: $50 C2C* *Local or nearby area is preferred, face to face a must after telephonic interview* *Must have skills:* - *SQL development * - *Data modeling/ETL development and understanding* - *Hands on experience with Star and/or snowflake schemas* - *Ideal to have Teradata and Microstrategy, but not necessary* Our Bay Area client needs a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who can perform three functions; Business Systems analysis, requirements gathering and Project Management. They will lead IT teams in the delivery of solutions to internal customers. Some key deliverables for BSA’s are Product Requirement Documents (PRD,) project plans, staffing plans, scoping documents and Relationship Diagrams. * * Specific Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT customers. - BSA’s perform two functions; systems analysis and project management. Key deliverables for BSA’s include: Product Requirement Documents (PRD), Source to Target Maps (STM), project plans, and scoping documents. - Establish and maintain relationships with IT teams (Project Management Office, Data Architecture, End User Programs, Business Intelligence, Development, QA and Release Management) - Act as a liaison to various BU Customers, Business Analysts, Product Managers and Project Managers. - Understand and document the business rules surrounding required to deliver solutions. - Proactively identify opportunities or obstacles concerning data needed & data accuracy. - Work with business end users to conceptualize and document new product or reporting requirements. - Develop and interact with user acceptance groups to validate projects and/or new reports. - Estimate project duration, resource load and cost for projects. - Monitor and control project execution and milestone delivery, provide regular status, and escalate project issues as appropriate. Skills and Experience: - At least 6+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA), in a Data Warehousing realm with strong Planning/Analytical Skills - Understanding of Snowflake or Star Schema data warehouse concepts - Technical experience with ETL, databases, data marts, data warehousing and reporting tools (Microstrategy and Business Objects). - At least 1 year of experience with Siebel and/or Siebel Analytics is preferred. - Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills.
