*Job Title: Lead JAVA Platform Engineer * *Location: Brisbane, CA* *Job type: 12+ months contract* * Interview Type: Face to face after phone interview* General Summary: The Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform group. As a member of the team you will have the opportunity to help build Client’s next generation website platform and work on the core systems that make up the platform, such as caching systems, database access layers, application servers etc. The platform is at the heart of our architecture. Additionally, the platform team is responsible for the scalability and performance of the platform. This is an extremely challenging role that demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong Java development skills. Experience working on a large customer facing Ecommerce website is highly desirable. *Primary Skills:* *Apache, J2EE (Servlets, JSP, JSTL, JDBC, JMS, SOAP, Web Services, JBOSS, Oracle, PL/SQL, SOA, WebLogic* *Secondary Skills:* MySQL, Perl, Shell Scripting, TOMCAT Server *Functional Expertise:* eCommerce, Internet Technologies, Retail *ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* *1. Design and Development (60%)* • Works with business and PM’s to define projects and design new features • Able to project-manage technical aspects of complex projects • Ensures high-quality technical deliverables from their team • Delivers high-quality code that meets design specs *2.
