*Required Skills:*
-This is a specialist level - one step below an Architect. Must support
both Oracle 10g and 11g
-*7+ years Information Technology experience in the* *assigned specialty
area*
-Must have High level Oracle 10and 11g DBA, approaching architect type
skills.
-Must have experience with *Informix or DB2 as well*
-Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or
related field or equivalent combination of education and/ or experience
-Requires extensive knowledge of computer hardware architecture and
operating systems in a multi-system environment.
-Good analytical, problem solving, decision-making, attention to detail,
customer service, interpersonal and communication skills needed. MCSE or
other accreditation required.
-Develops team members through mentoring and coaching in complex subjects.
-Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of
technical/scientific knowledge for the specialized software
*Specialization – Database *
AIX Operating System, DB2, Oracle, Informix and SQL Databases, FTP –
Secure File transfer, NIM – Remote Software Management, VIO – Virtual I/O
Server, Metro Mirror / Global Mirror, HADB2 and Oracle DataGuard – Disaster
Recovery, TSM – Storage Management, LPAR's – Server Partitioning, SAN –
Storage Area Network, Nagios – System monitoring, Korn Scripting, NMOM –
Performance monitoring, SOX Auditing, CRON – Automated Scheduling
