Job Description
· Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skill.
· Master's Degree in relevant discipline (Information Systems,
Computer Science, etc).
· Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
· Proven track record of being self motivated with a desire to
learn, proactive.
· Strong documentation skills.
· Should have around *8+ year of Unix experience with 3+ years of
demonstrated* experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining Sun
Solaris environment, will be responsible for:-
o - Installing, configuring and maintaining Sun Servers
o - Installation and configuration of HA environment using Sun or Veritas
Cluster.
o - Installing /configuring and Managing Veritas Replicator.
o - Configuration and administration of Sun and Veritas logical volume
manager.
o - Installing and Maintaining Solaris Jumpstart environment
o - Patch and Package administration
o - Printer Administration
o - Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration
task
o - Configuring and supporting domain on Sun Fire Servers
o - Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
o - Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance
o - Understanding of SAN and NAS storage.
o - Installation, configuration and Administration of Netbackup
environment
o - Configuring Unix Security baseline
o - Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
o - Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and
Disaster recovery planning
o Knowledge is shell scripting
