Primary Skill:Data Modeler/Data Architect
Duration: 6-9 months.
Rate: Market.
--Requisition Comments--
This role requires an experienced data architect with excellent
communication skills. This position requires candidates to lead
modeling staff in the creation of comprehensive BI models supporting
all Property and Casualty business functions.
Candidates should be able to quickly understand existing application
architectures and standards. Knowledge in most aspects of designing
and constructing data architectures, operational data stores and data
marts is a plus.
Required:
1. Strong knowledge and experience in development of data
warehousarchitecture for large volume analytic solutions with
specialization
in one or more of the following: property & casualty policy
lifecycle, property & casualty claims, customer, finance, general
ledger, billing
2. Strong leadership and excellent communication skills a MUST!
3. Experience in designing data models to support reporting and
analysis. Knowledge of industry accepted design techniques including
star schemas.
4. Experience in providing technical leadership to project team
consisting of developers, analysts, DBAs and data modelers.
5. Strong experience using enterprise modeling tool
Desired:
1. Experience with Agile methodologies a plus
2. Ability to coordinate structure changes with common XML
integration model
a. A general knowledge of data quality approaches and
strategy
3. Knowledge of other tools used in Business Intelligence projects,
such as data quality analysis, packaged analytics,
performance management, etc.
4. Knowledge of best practice BI project approaches and strategies
5. Knowledge and experience of enterprise information architectures
6. Experience in establishing and maintaining an enterprise approach
to logical data modeling
7. Knowledge and development experience with one or more ETL tools
such as Informatica.
8. Database development experience in one or more market-leading
database environments such as Oracle, DB2.
9. Knowledge and experience with OLAP and reporting tools such as
Business Objects, SAS, and Essbase utilizing both relational and
multidimensional tool architectures.
10. Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
