My client has an immediate need for a Sr. Oracle Apps Technical Developer per
details below:
Role: Oracle Apps Technical Developer
Modules: DISTRIBUTION, MANUFACTURING and FINANCIALS
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Contract Type: Contract-to-Hire
Duration: 3-4 months
Rate: $ all incl on C2C / W2
Description:
Client is currently in need of a resource that can help with several
initiatives related to this custom Oracle application, including:
- Bringing the technical documentation up to date for the database design,
tables, views, forms, etc.
- Addressing some immediate report modification needs (reports are macro driven
in Excel using ODBC drivers)
- Assess current reporting methods and develop a longer term strategy for
report maintenance and/or conversion to Discoverer (or other standardized
reporting tools)
- Assess performance issues with current Discoverer reporting environment
- Address security issues within the custom database
- Assess ability for current design to correctly handle multi-currency
transactions, and implement design changes, as required, to address this future
functionality.
- Provide an overall assessment of the custom database vs. leveraging ERP
sub-ledger data as a single source of truth
Qualifications:
Candidate to assist with the support activities listed above, and senior
technical business analyst who meets the following qualifications.
- Technical resource
- 5/6 years Oracle ERP 11i experience in the following modules:
o Distribution, Manufacturing and Financials module
o 4 years work experience supporting financial business users with strong
understanding of financial transaction flows and financial operations and
closing activities
- 5/6 years Oracle custom database development:
o Table and database design
o Custom view development
o Custom report development using SQL
o User administration and security in custom database environment
- Strong Discover reporting experience
- Strong experience with ODBC database connectivity and Excel macro development
- Ability to lead small teams to implement enhancements and streamline processes
