This development team is responsible for the development of web portals and
APIs to bring in content metadata and digital asset metadata from content
providers and digital encoding houses worldwide. There are various
development challenges involving scalability, high availability, security,
maintainability and internationalization so the team would like to begin
delivering solutions that leverage the cloud.
The current *backend systems are written in* *Java and use hibernate, Spring
and Jersey and Spring MVC and jQuery on the front end. *

*Responsibilities:*
- Develop new products and perform upgrades, enhancements or maintenance
to existing products
- Effectively participate in functional/technical group discussions with
team members and requirements definition meetings with the Product team and
a variety of clients
- including collaborating with team members or clients based
internationally
- Work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and
clients as needed,

*Required skills:*
· At least *5+ years of Core Java software development experience*
- Expert in Object Oriented analysis and design, as well as Object
Oriented programming
- Excellent *database skills writing complex queries for reporting and
data patches*
- 2+ years of experience in *Hibernate, Spring framework, REST APIs*
- Expert in troubleshooting and debugging production issues
- Experience creating and manipulating *web services (REST)*
- *Oracle SQL (and PL/SQL) for joins, data queries,* functions,
packages, etc…
- *UNIX (prefer HP/UX or Linux)*
- Experience with *Weblogic or Websphere*
