There will be phone and f2f for locals otherwise we can try skype interview after phone for non locals* * * *Start date: April 16th* - Design, maintain and deploy Microsoft Server based operating systems and technology solutions. - Configure and maintain Active Directory environment. - Configure and maintain Microsoft Office 2007/2010 environment. - Install, configure, maintain, and monitor all server hardware and software. - Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on server hardware and software. - Responsible for the backup and recovery of all servers and other systems. - Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backup. - Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. - Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary. - Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. - Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. - Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment. - Oversee the daily operation of the “Help Desk “for all computers and phone issues. - Act as 2nd/3rd level support to junior level administrators and desktop support professionals for all desktops, laptops, and phone and server issues. - Document procedures and configuration of systems. - Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. - Perform advanced server and network administration support for LAN/WAN, DNS, TCPIP, WINS, DHCP and IIS functions. - Participate in an on-call rotation for issue escalation. - No regular travel required. - Manages Help Desk Analyst and Desktop Support Engineers. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate will need: - Team player, ability to mentor other junior team members, leadership qualities. - Prior project and team management experience. - 5-7 years Windows Systems Administrator experience including Active Directory, IIS, and Windows Server Operating Systems. - VMware installs and configuration is a must - Ability to lift and install devices, up to 50-70 pounds in weight. - Excellent troubleshooting & problem solving skills. - Experience with a wide variety of Industry Standard Servers (ISS) including HP, Dell, or IBM.
