My client is a major health care provider, with a large precense in NYC. Currently said client has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Testing Manager. The QA Manager will build and lead the team that will be responsible for testing functional specifications and data quality of the application. Specific application is largely composed of web services and functions as a faceless VLDB data hub for many applications. Therefore, experience in leading integration test, regression test, and performance testing are critical. Position includes building out a larger test team as well. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships. He/She should have experience working with VLDB (very large databases). Thorough SQL experience is a must. with some depth of data orientation, perhaps from a data warehousing background. They would ideally possess work experience with (or at least working knowledge of) concepts like data quality, data analysis, profiling, attributes, mapping, and integration. If the candidate lacks that kind of background, they*ll need to be strong in other areas and be adaptable to our data-driven environment. A strong SQL foundation is required, even if they*re a little rusty on writing more than basic queries. Prior experience with at least one of the dominant AHM technologies is also desired, such as web services and SOA, or ETL and data transformation. Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, in particular, Word and Excel. Experience using automated backend testing tools and building test harness.
