Job Title: front end developer(java)

(Need local candidates only)
Duration: 12 months
Requirements:
•Sound understanding of HTTP, cookies and caching architectures
3-5 years experience hand coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
•Solid understanding of web standards and CSS driven layouts
•Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues
•Practical understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
•Working knowledge of front to back Web development including
experience with Relational Database Management Systems, SQL, business
logic and Web services
•Solid understanding of Javascript (JS)
•Experience using JS frameworks especially jQuery
•Excellent debugging skills using tools like Firebug and Charles
•Knowledge of front end performance optimization techniques
•Experience working with AJAX and web services / API's to serve up
dynamic data
•Experience working with source control (SVN, Github, Mercurial)
•Some experience with server side scripting (JSP, PHP, ASP)
•Excellent problem solving, time management, teamwork, and
communication
skills
•Experience working collaboratively with back end engineers
•Experience working collaboratively with visual and interaction
designers
•Experience converting business requirements to technical solutions
Pluses:
•Experience integrating HTML based content with a content management
system
•Experience with mobile web development especially for WebKit browsers
•Experience integrating with major third party APIs (Facebook,
Twitter, Google)
•Experience working in the retail industry
•A passion for e-commerce
•Understanding of agile development methodology; experience working as
part of an agile team
