Position: Cognos Developer
Location: tulsa oklahoma(OK)
Duration: 6 months

We are looking for a person to fill the role of a (Cognos) Business
Intelligence Developer with the following requirements:
This position will work with all levels of management and union work groups
to develop short and long term reports utizing Cognos 10 tools including
the dashboard tool. Requires a solid understanding of the report
development process, including business case development, requirements
definition, analysis and design, development tools and technologies,
release and version control, testing methodologies, and deployment
management. Experience in all areas of Cognos Intelligence development as
well as experience implementing packages and working with selected vendors.
Must be able to work well in a team environment and work well with little
supervision.
Qualifications
6 + years of hands-on Cognos reporting experience in a data warehouse
environment.
• 3 + years experience with Cognos 10 reporting and modeling
• 3 + years experience with data warehousing life cycle and dimensional
modeling
• In-depth experience with the Cognos 10 Suite: Transformer, Report Studio,
Analysis Studio and Query Studio
• Extensive experience with Framework Manager including DMR, setting up
hierarchies and performance tuning and optimizing framework environment
• Advanced SQL programming experience, must be able to easily write free
form SQL
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in data collection & analysis
• Strong database knowledge of DB2, Oracle , SQL Server or Teradata, stored
procedures and functions
• Able to work independently or in a team environment
• Functional knowledge of Report Design Concepts (formulas, parameters,
sections, cross tabs, Group strategies, etc.)
• Experienced in large scale conversions of Reporting technologies or
custom reporting applications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in data collection & analysis
• Strong database knowledge of DB2, Oracle , SQL Server or Teradata, stored
procedures and functions
• Able to work independently or in a team environment
• Functional knowledge of Report Design Concepts (formulas, parameters,

An added plus would be that the Developer possess 2 years of experience
working with airline data using Cognos with airline experience.
