* * *Position: Java Architect(1) - (emphasis is on an Architect with strong data migration experience.)* *Duration: 12 months* *Location: Memphis, TN* *Interview Type: Phone Interview* *Response : 24-48 hours.* *Rate: DOE* The ideal candidate will possess JQuery, HTML, Java, Hibernate, ETL, relational database and Spring Framework skills coupled with previous experience directing the technical development of large-scale GUI development initiatives. Looking for an architect who was not just a part of a team but has the ability to decompose and assign task ( experience in this capacity from past assignments ). 50% of the day to day is hands on coding while the other 50% is assigning task. The candidate *MUST have previous experience leading a massive Data Migration effort*. Essentially looking for a rock star programmer to lead the effort. *Position Overview* The role requires extensive technology understanding and the ability to architect and employ solutions by addressing complex business goals with technological solutions. Architects will oversee delivery of large, complex, and strategic projects for enterprise customers. *Responsibilities:* - Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle - Lead development of standards and practices for Java development - Lead development of Java reference architecture and standards for different application styles including business process management - Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives - Implement architecture by building components and custom designs; prototyping; data migration; maintaining technical integrity and consistency; documenting system - Develop and support verification of Java-based solution delivery, including testing processes, tools, and techniques - Manage customer relationship by communicating Java architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues - Increase organization effectiveness by identifying opportunities to leverage solutions to other engagements - Enhance overall team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answer technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teach improved processes; mentor team members *Other Responsibilities: * - Expertise in architecture patterns and best practices - Experience with Spring Framework - Demonstrated deep knowledge of programming in Java and implementing advanced Java solutions - Consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting architecture reviews, and consensus building - Knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Integration - Experience with Agile / Scum software development is a plus - Strong leadership, multi-tasking and collaboration skills - Strong verbal, written and presentation skills - Ability to assess benefit versus risk of implementing technologies - Ability to think creatively, strategically and act tactically - Take ownership, self-starter, and drives to completion *Thanks,* *Archana Kulkarni (Archie)* *Resource Specialist *MetaSense, Inc.
