Responsibilities to provide performance risk assessment deliverables with tight deadlines. Job Summary A software engineer with a performance engineering background and a successful track record of delivering improved performance for enterprise solutions. The engineer will design, develop, and conduct performance tests, simulations, and prototypes. He/she will also be involved in systems monitoring and analyze results to identify areas of performance risks and provide further recommendations, where appropriate. Examples of such functions include, but not limited to: · Design, development and execution of simulations, profile testing, and performance testing design and execution · Design, development and collection of instrumentation data for systems monitoring · Statistical analysis of test results for risk identification This person will work closely with the Project Manager to support performance-focused initiative. The technician needed for this position will be hands-on and able to support leading performance practices. Essential Responsibilities and Duties · Supports performance goals for the project · Responsible for the following on a project: o Design, construction and execution of stubs, agents, scripts that simulate end-user behavior o Design and development of instruments and monitors o Technical risk assessment and resolution of performance issues.
