Will be required to develop and execute defined test cases both manually and automated. Follow defined standard best practices and deliver quality timely to our clients. * * *ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, TASKS:* Ø Responsible for writing test plans, test cases and developing test scripts. Responsible for creating tests data; writes test standards and procedures. Ø Tests and certifies software defect fixes and new functionality. Executes full unit, regression and performance tests for each release. Ø Clear and precise defect reports for identified defects based on testing results. Ø Testing of data conversion scripts to ensure all data is properly converted. Ø Investigation of data anomalies and finding the source of inconsistencies and problems. Ø Ensures ticketing system updated with testing progress and identified defects * * *Percent of Job: 80%* Ø Analyzes test results and makes recommendations. Documents results from tests and communicates the results to the tower leads and management. Ø Communicates with Developers, PM’s, BA;s and others as required to coordinate efforts for speedy outcome Ø Communicates status as well as any issues\risks and escalate to QA Lead\Project Management in a timely fashion. *Percent of Job: 20%* *REQUIRED: KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: * Ø Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in manual and\or automation testing efforts Ø Strong understanding of quality assurance best practices Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills Ø Previous experience in all areas of the Information Technology field, including programming, systems design and SOA environment.
