The Senior PM, PMO manages and directs the planning, development, and
implementation of AMFC’s major/strategic projects.
Principal Accountabilities:
The Senior PM manages and directs the planning, development, and
implementation of AMFC’s Medicare strategic projects.
PM #4 will be assigned to support end to end testing needs for the project
and will be partnered with other Project team members as it relates to
testing the product with a focus on end to end user acceptance testing.
The expectation is that these resources will be a part of the testing team
and will be granted access to the testing region to help complete UAT
testing strategies they design. This team will need to be experts in
claims processing and finance with strong systems understanding around
these functional areas. This team will work very closely with our IS
applications teams and other information services teams to ensure data
flows as expected and end to end testing of the product is completed to
support effective launch. This team will support test strategy development
and will be expected to interface with PM #2 and BA #2 to understand
training needs that will materialize during UAT testing. Ideal candidates
will have significant experience with claims processing, finance, medical
policy and reporting expertise.
Additional Responsibilities include:
• Insures that assigned projects are defined, developed,
tested, documented, and implemented following quality
standards and scheduled time lines.
• Works with functional managers to negotiate for resources for
projects and communicates with those managers
regarding resource availability, workload, and
performance.
• Manages departmental staff, other functional resources, and
consultants during all phases of project.
• Develops, communicates, and monitors project implementation
schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Develops and implements corrective action plans when as
needed.
• Contributes to the development and administration of projects
management methodology, policies, procedures,
standards and tools
• Performs other job related duties and projects as assigned.
• Adheres to AMFC policies and procedures.
• Supports and carries out the Mercy Mission & Values.

• PROJECT INITIATION AND PLANNING
• Develop clear and complete Cost Benefit Analysis, Project
Charter/Scope, Business Requirements, Project Plan,
Budget and other key project deliverables as required by
AMFC methodologies. Prepare and obtain approval for
funding requests, vendor Statements of Work and Contract
Authorization forms as needed. Obtain all required
approvals and actively engage the program and project
sponsors, as well as the project team in the planning
effort.
• PROJECT EXECUTION
• Proactively monitor project progress and status by measuring
and reporting performance against the project plan
Analyze and remediate variances to plan including budget,
schedule, resources, risk, scope and quality. Approve
vendor invoices for payment.
• Hold regular project meetings that have agendas prepared in
advance, and minutes issued promptly thereafter.
Maintain status and other required documentation
accurately in the required repositories/systems of record.
• Comply with AMFC methodologies.
