· As a member of the Client's *Data Architecture & Reporting (DAR)
team, the BI/Data Warehouse Data Analyst* will perform*requirements
gathering and system analysis, data analysis, data mapping, Logical Data
Modeling, functional design, and data quality improvements.*
· This individual will be working closely with end users, ETL
developers, Data Modelers / architects, Report Developers and Functional
teams.
· Perform business analysis to capture data and reporting
requirements and translating to technical specs for the enterprise data
warehouse
· Perform extensive data analysis and develop data mapping and
functional solution design documents for ETL developers
· Works with the DAR Team and other IT teams to ensure feasibility
of design and clarify user requirements
· *Performs source data model / data analysis, and target EDW data
model / data analysis*
· Capture business rules and builds physical design document to
meet user requirements
· *Work with Data Modelers and DBA's to create/update EDW data
models*
· Understand and Interpret logical design document and data model
diagrams to understand requirements to build physical design document
· Effectively communicate the functional design to developers and
confirm the same with the business analysts team
· Document overall business processes and data/information flow.
Suggest and implement process improvement and data collection
opportunities. ? Functional testing of reports and ETL data auditing
· *Design and maintain SharePoint website* to enable collaboration
of various required data deliverables.

· *Good knowledge and experience in understanding logical mapping
and data model to build Physical Design documents*
· *3-5 years of extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of
the BI/DW Life Cycle*
· Working knowledge of *MS SQL Server & Oracle data structures*
preferred
· *2-3 year of experience in one or more BI tools (Cognos,
Microsoft Reporting, etc)*
· Experience in implementing a *data warehouse; understanding of
Inmon or Kimball DW* methodologies
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Strong data modeling skills (normalized 3rd NF modeling and
dimensional modeling)
· Demonstrated project management skills
· Must be detail and process oriented
· Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environment,
and multi-task
· Possess a collaborative working style and the ability to work

**There are two aspects to this role. **
*
The first aspect of the role is to support the existing in-house email and
instant messaging services. Specific tasks/responsibilities may include:
• Deployment and configuration of new servers.
• Upgrades and maintenance of existing infrastructure e.g. version
• Resolution of problems affecting the infrastructure e.g. serverside issue
resolution.
• Level 3 support for client-side problems.
• Supporting/administering Microsoft Exchange 2007, OCS, upgrades,
configuration changes, maintenance tasks.
BlackBerry, Vantage and Good for Enterprise messaging
infrastructure.
• 3rd level support for Helpdesk and Desktop support teams.
• 24x7 on-call cover is required one week in every four weeks.
• Team’s shift pattern to cover 7am to 5pm GMT.
The second aspect of the role is to support and facilitate the migration of
the Bank’s email platforms to a new vendor-hosted solution. Specific
tasks/responsibilities may include:
• Performing required due diligence, testing, signing-off on
• Potential involvement in build of servers in regions – Exchange
• Confirming/testing server setup according to vendor design
• Test and setup of related infrastructure, according to agreed solutions
where required, ensuring required connectivity/infrastructure is in place
for in-country DB data centres, handling change controls and facilitating
implementation 2010, Symantec Enterprise Vault on MS Win 2008 teams’ build
documentation design: Blackberry Enterprise Servers, Active Directory,
Quest Migration and Co-existence Tools, Exchange Monitoring, Symantec
Enterprise Vault support, Voltage Encryption setup, Tivoli backup, Good, iOS
• Assistance/support with migration of Symantec Enterprise Vault data from
one vendor-hosted solution to another
*Education / Qualifications*
Ideally A-Level and Degree, or equivalent Microsoft Certification for OCS
R1/R2, Lync 2010, Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010
