From what she told me, it may not be required to submit, but nobody will get hired unless they have PS ELM. *Job Description:* - Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a System Business Analyst. *Responsibilities: * - Prepares estimates of resources needed to complete activities and projects. - Manages projects or project sub-plans by developing, coordinating, and controlling the steps necessary to carry out a project within established time frame, budget, quality, and requirements. - Investigates client needs, regulations, and technology to provide input into the design of a new system, system enhancements, or acquired software or hardware. - Elicits and clearly defines client needs by assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential business solutions. - Conducts business assessment reviews and walkthroughs for complex projects. - Prepares and updates written material and explanations to accompany systems, programs, and program changes. - Works directly with a client to solve problems or make decisions requiring technical expertise or specialized knowledge. - Coordinates and executes testing for multiple, major applications. - Develops and coordinates training for client personnel. - Evaluates and documents the performance of tested software and the quality testing process to provide feedback to project team and management for current and future reference. - Defines business requirements for interface screen design and conversion methodology. - Performs other related duties as assigned. *Qualifications: * - The candidate is required to have some history of technical experience to best translate LOB requirements to technical documents and most effectively communicate with technical staff. - Background in US Banking is highly preferred. - Background in Peoplesoft EPM (ABM and FTP modules) will separate candidates from the field. - Combination of support and project work. - A working knowledge of unix with the ability to write SQL queries for results validation is highly preferred. - Work environment genuinely requires flexibility in managing concurrent assignments. - Taking ownership of assigned duties and driving project tasks to completion will ensure success. - Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in a related field. - Experience: 5-7 years professional level experience including 2 years in client relationship management and project management and/or a technical field (e.g., programming, telecom/network, and client/server); or equivalent combination of education and experience. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * - Knowledge of financial services industry, including retail, mortgage/loans/deposits and wholesale banking. - Extensive knowledge of methods, tools, and technology used to carry out tasks necessary to prepare business assessment deliverables. - Considerable knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases, and roles of multiple applications development methodologies. - Considerable knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets the needs of the client/business partner. - Knowledge of architectural design principles, practices, and theories. - Knowledge of basic concepts of object-oriented design and programming with experience in at least one object-oriented language. - Skill in understanding and focusing on the clients’ needs, establishing credibility, and building relationships with clients. - Skill in analysis, solid decision-making, and problem solving skills. - Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills and manage conflict. - Ability to communicate exceptionally both verbally and in writing. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
