Will manage Unix and Java development and automation. Strong hands on skills* Top Five MUST Haves: -Unix - must know this inside and out -Unix Scripting - heavy use -Java - scripting on Java apts -Websphere - must know inside and out -Autmoation - ESP, Autosys or CTRL-M This challenging role as Systems Architect requires the ability to design complex systems solutions, manage development environments, troubleshoot issues and demonstrate strong analytical skills. A qualified candidate should have senior level UNIX Administration skills (minimum 10 years) with an emphasis in UNIX programming and development, very strong UNIX scripting skills, senior level expertise in process automation and the ability to use those skills to support applications in a complex environment. An ability to develop and manage file transfers to and from an IBM mainframe environment and schedule jobs in that environment. Candidate should have experience in production support as well as in designing complete and comprehensive system solutions. This role requires experience with creating documentation from low level instructions to highly detailed system build documentation. This candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter team player with the ability to independently analyze the current environment, identify gaps, provide solutions that foster supportability and consistency and manage shifting priorities and deliverables on their own. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with senior and executive levels of management. Candidate should be local to the Chicago area and able to work flexible hours. An emphasis will be placed on finding a candidate that has experience writing and managing large complex shell scripts/programs around Java applications and managing its automation. *Skill summary:* - Minimum 10 years UNIX (Linux and AIX) experience - Strong expertise with the ESP Scheduling tool - Strong scripting skills (ksh, Perl) - Programming skills in Java a plus - Expertise installing and configuring WebSphere 6 and 7 - IBM HTTP configuration experience - WebSphere application code deployment experience - Network analysis skills (define FW rules, perform connectivity tests, and design solutions) - Ability to debug firewall issues - vi editor - Experience supporting applications and troubleshooting application problems - Production Support experience - Application monitoring experience - Single-Sign-On configuration experience - Familiarity with LDAP - Name service configuration and support (DNS, NIS, etc.) - SSL and SSL with Mutual Authentication configuration experience - SSL key management expertise - Familiarity with Oracle, DB2, and SQL - Ability to work a flexible work schedule - Strong analysis skills for resolving problems and designing solutions - Detail oriented, learns quickly - Works well independently or in a team environment - Strong documentation skills - Strong communication skills - SAP experience helpful - Windows experience helpful - Online-Banking application experience a plus Thanks & regards Ashok Kumar | IDC Technologies, Inc.
