Please review the below Job Description and let me know if you are comfortable *Business Objects Administrator* *Location: Milwaukee, WI* *Duration: 6-12 months* * * *Interview process will include: Phone screen and face to face interview* This position is specific to Administration Manager is NOT looking for report writers or developers *Skill set required:* -Production support -Experience installing software for Business Objects -User Admin/security experience -Visual Basics and Java are helpful additions Customer Service skills are paramount -Experience in a client support role -Comfortable in a high volume position where resolution can take a day or two -Considered Level II/III technical support Additional position details are located in the job description. Education Requirement: Bachelors in Information Systems or Computer Science Looking for candidates with 8+ years experience with Business Objects versions 6.5 and XI 3.1. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, working with project manager to provide technical information for planning/risk purposes, leading technical team in planning, architecting, sizing and migrating current Business Objects 6.5 environment to Business Objects XI 3.1. Candidates must have experience with leading a large migration from Business Objects 6.5 to XI 3.1. Candidates must have experience with Apache/Tomcat. Candidates must have extensive experience with Business Objects administration. Prefer candidates with experience with multiple migrations. Prefer candidates that have experience with complex security model implementations. Candidate must manage time efficiently, demonstrate effective problem solving skills, and possess good written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must demonstrate ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly, work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive outlook, have a strong work ethic, and must be responsive to customers. This position may require rotating 24 x 7 on-call support responsibilities and may also require some weekend work as customer outage windows fall on weekends *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*: *• Required Skill Sets:* Business Objects 6.5 and XI 3.1 on Windows Platforms Apache Tomcat Application Server SQL Language Understanding open systems/distributed computing environments *Preferred Skill Sets:* Business Objects 6.5 on Unix Platforms Project Management experience .Net Programming VB/VBA Programming Experience in Customer Desktop Support Exposure to Oracle DBMS and Dimensionally Modeled Structures Experience with Active Directory Authentication with Single Sign On Experience with Extension Points Java/JavaScript programming Basic understanding of networks (DNS, firewalls, etc) *Other:* C programming ETL-Data stage/other Unix Shell Scripting Control M or other scheduling tool Mainframe with JCL Experience Thanks & regards Ashok Kumar | IDC Technologies, Inc.
