*Sr. Java Developer- Java/JEE/Spring* *Location: Boston, MA* *Duration: 6-12 month contract* * * *Phone and Skype Interview required* . They would be asked questions based on creating as well as consuming web services and database/ORM experience. THIS IS A BACKEND/MIDDLETIER position. Someone who understands Web Services. Not looking for candidates with an understanding/knowledge of web services- needs someone who has developed in SOAP- not been a consumer but developed in it. Core Skills: Java, JEE, Spring, JBoss, mybatis, drools rule engine, SQL., maven.Nice to have or equivalent: Hibernate, Mule ESB, RESTful services, SOAP services. *Responsibilities: * Perform complex to highly complex tasks in the following areas: · Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate to design. · Source code development. · Unit test case development. · Functional/system integration testing support. · Architecture and design guide reviews. · Contribute to technical alternatives. · Impact analysis. · Component design. · System/application architecture. · Develops guidelines and standards. · Support production as needed and meet development schedules. *Qualifications:* · Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Computer Science or related field · 7+ years of professional experience and expert skills in JAVA/J2EE, Object Oriented, Design Patterns, XML, DB2, and SQL. · Must have good understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, maintainability, security) · Must have excellent Design skills (Class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, etc.) · Must have leadership, and cross-communication skills to work with other domains/teams · Desirable knowledge includes P&C Insurance industry, JBOSS, Spring, JQuery, MyBatis, JUnit, ESB (Mule), Web Service, Rule Engines (e.g. DROOLS) · Java Certifications (developer, web component, architect) is preferred. · Thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies.
