*Cobol with PL/SQL* *Location: Plano, TX* *Duration: 3-6+ months* * * *Phone hire * Ideally the candidate would have Cobol and SQL… Major expectations are those candidates have at least one or more of the following: Work breakdown is around 10-20% COBOL, 10-20% Crystal Reports and the majority being SQL Development. Prefer to consider candidates with around 3-7 years’ experience. 1) Experience in reading/developing/documenting COBOL programs. Candidate may need to interpret existing COBOL programs and write detailed specs so that the programs can be rewritten in other languages (SQL, for instance). 2) SQL programming skills - reading/developing in Oracle is preferred but SQL Server is also acceptable. Ability to read/write SQL and, ideally PL/SQL, with solid ability to read/write functions, procedures, and packages. 3) Business understanding of the QicLink (Trizetto) package. 4) Crystal Reports experience - able to take Oracle procedures and implement into Crystal Reports processes so that they may be called by outside web applications.
