Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database administrator performs. Additional knowledge of RAC and RAC one configurations is required. The Database administrator should have experience in working with multi-terabyte, very large, mission critical databases in a high profile, quick to react type of organization. The Database administrator needs to be a team player that is willing to dig in and do what it takes to make the team successful.
