- a minimum of 5-6 years java enterprise development experience
- recent experience with Java Swing or SWT
- Experience developing concurrentcy API's (front end GUI development)
- Core java platform experience (generics, annotations, collections

- Experience with threading (synchronization)
- J2EE Java enterprise experience (JPA, JDBC, JMS, EJB, RMI, and Servlets)
- XML and related technologies (XMLSchema, WSDL)
- TCP/IP, UDP or other network domain experience
- Strong PL-SQL skills for the backend database (not just queries, need
someone with stored procedures, schemas)

*Role:*
We are looking for a senior java developer/engineer with current skills in
Java Enterprise, SQL, database management, ETL and high-volume, data based
applications. This person will be working on a senior team that contributes
new features to the SMS (Security Managament System) application in
biannual software releases. They will be responsible for sustaining the
product for their A-list customer base of network security administrators
within the government, military and private enterprise. This large network
security organization provides in-line, real time vulnerability threat
protection for most Fortune 500 companies. The SMS manages all the network
security devices for this company. The SMS is currently a Java Enterprise
application, distributed as an appliance, based on Java Swing, JBoss,
MySQL, Vertica and CentOS. The client is currently a Swing application, but
is being migrated to browser-based technologies so web technologies
experience is good too.
