*Job Description:*

Routing Protocol: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP Approach Summary: Work closely with App
Dev teams to identify key applications and their dependencies and
interdependencies.

Use these requirements to develop designs that deliver enhanced DR
capabilities (active-active) and lower business costs.

Then map these against existing infrastructure offerings and initiate the
build out of CDC client networks, and any enhancements to the existing
internal network connectivity.

Also deliver migration plans for the key applications

Approach

- Launch a taskforce with key TIS and application development teams

- Identify key infrastructure components required by the application
development teams

- Identify key applications and their interdependencies

- Map the requirements against existing infrastructure service offerings

- Where necessary propose new infrastructure offerings in support of the
migration to Clifton

- Use the findings to prepare a high level migration approach document

- Identify new infrastructure needed to migrate applications to Clifton

- Identify applications that can be moved independently, and those that
must be moved together

- Document migration plans for key business applications

*Objectives:*

Analyze key applications that are currently located in EMA/ OMA to
determine critical application and infrastructure dependencies and
requirements for migrating to Clifton or PDC.

Prepare designs for building client infrastructure to delivery enhanced DR
and lower costs, and enhance designs for internal networks to allow
inter-site application failover

Goal: To correlate migration strategy with objectives such that:

risk is minimized

latency is mitigated

options for automated DR (Active/Active) are recommended

Skills Required:*

Resources should have the below understanding and able to communicate with
application developers to address latency, failover etc.

Routing Protocol: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP

L2 Features: SPT, RSPT, UDLD, BPDU, Link Aggregation, VPC

First Hop Routing Protocol: HSRP, VRRP, GLBP

End-to-end QoS

IP Multicast Protocol: PIM Sparse/Dense mode, Anycast RP

IPSEC VPN + GRE Tunneling

Security / Firewall, VPN services and associated technologies

DMZ, Zoning, and Network Access architecture

Edge network routing, switching, and connectivity technologies

Load balancing technologies

IP / DNS services
