*Job Description: *
The Senior MicroStrategy Developer/Consultant will be responsible for
clarifying requirements when necessary, designing or alteration of data
model components (Oracle 11G), development of MicroStragtegy reports,
management of MicroStrategy systems infrastructure
(installations/configurations), and development of dashboards or reports
with drill-down capabilities.
The position requires solid knowledge of MicroStrategy and database/data
warehouse concepts.
The position involves working on a project with a small team (already under
way) to help with development demands and project deliverables. Skills and
experience of interest are: data model design, reporting and dashboard
design, MicroStrategy security administration, Enterprise Manager,
assisting with MicroStrategy upgrade from 9.0 to 9.3, MicroStrategy
Self-Service BI tool set.
Experience with SAP BW would be helpful (not required, but useful).
Develop and deliver MicroStrategy components per an ongoing project to
expand end-user BI capabilities.
Work with technical teams regarding data structures, data flows, and
implementation details per their design.
Provide support (or participate in cross-train effort) for the existing
MicroStrategy BI environment.
Knowledge and experience in Business Analysis and requirements gathering
• Knowledge of Oracle relational database environments and data
warehouse concepts
• Detail-oriented; ability to follow already-defined standards.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in the following software
packages: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
*Skill requirements (include complexity of position):*
• Effective communication skills to work with subject matter
experts (SMEs) and business partners within the University to elicit the
information necessary for project technical design.
• Outstanding writing skills to author /edit / modify concise,
grammatically correct procedures and training for audience.
