*C#.NET Developer* *Location: Albany, NY* *Duration: 9 month contract* *Phone Hire* Qualified candidates will: · Hit the ground running · Work successfully in team environments and also while leading individual development initiatives to further the project. · Work with the team to understand existing requirements and application design. · Consistently implement stable, efficient code conforming to project coding standards, working within a defined architecture. · Implement unit tests and functional tests. · Participate in code reviews; present code to the team for review and effectively review the code of other team members to ensure all accepted code meets team standards and accurately realizes requirements and design. · Contribute to and participate in component design and design reviews. Required: · Candidates demonstrating professional experience with service or traditional application development in preference to web development. · 5+ years of recent, professional development experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, and the .NET framework v3.5+. · Ability to work productively in a team environment. · Familiarity with team development, including code sharing, code reviews, source control, and continuous integration. · Experience developing optimized, enterprise-level applications with emphasis on performance and scalability. · Experience writing and debugging code for complex, multi-threaded applications. · Candidate possesses a strong, working knowledge of object oriented development principles. · Understanding of Unicode and other character encodings. · Understanding of application interoperability principles, including client-server networking, direct implementation of TCP/IP-based network communication, and a working knowledge of the HTTP protocol. · Development of unit tests for complete code coverage. · Experience with XML, including schema-creation and validation. Preferences: · Experience developing Windows service applications. · Experience working with or developing for search engines and / or understanding the principles of text indexing, search and retrieval in enterprise applications. · Experience working with lower-level data structures such as expression trees and sets. · Experience developing applications in C/C++ on any platform. · Experience with WinForms development. · Experience with Team Foundation Server and related development workflow. · Experience with WCF. · Windows Server 2012 administration experience. · Familiarity with T-SQL, PL-SQL and relational databases. · Experience developing against the Win32 API.
