*Job Title : Websphere Admin/ Engineer*
*Location : Madison, WI*
*Duration :* *6+ Months contract*
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Install, configure and provide daily support of WebSphere
Application Server v7.1 and 8.5, MQ v7.5, MFT v7.5 and AIX v7.1.
· Install and configure new integrations for WebSphere Application
Server, MQ and MFT.
· Research, implement and suggest improvements.
· Perform daily report analysis and diagnosis.
· Determine and resolve all WebSphere Application Server, MQ, MFT and
AIX issues. Involve and work with vendors when necessary.
· Automate operational procedures, including administration,
deployment, reporting, log rotations, archiving, backups, patches and
upgrades.
· Participate in performance testing and tuning activities.
· Configure and utilize Java application performance management tools
for monitoring, capacity planning and reporting.
· Provide technical assistance to the Java and .NET Development teams.
· Develop and document disaster recovery plans and participate in
testing to ensure environment is recoverable within proper time limits.
Must Have Skill Set:
· 5+ years of experience with:
o WebSphere Application Server, MQ, and MFT implementations in a
multi-platform environment.
o Experience in AIX administration, including PowerVM virtualization
software.
o Experience in analyzing application problems using IBM Support
Assistant, OPNET Panorama, CA Wily Introscope and IBM Tivoli Performance
Viewer.
o Proficient in Bash, Korn and Jython scripting.
o Experience managing WebSphere DynaCache.
