There are 2 positions open up in *FT Worth TX for the next 6 months.* My
Client will handle all the interviewing and hiring for this role. The
candidates will work rotating shifts and be subject to background, drug and
fingerprinting.
*Security Engineer*
*Job Description:*
- Proactively manage customer Firewalls (FW), Intrusion Detection
Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and other security threat
data sources
- Configure, manage, and upgrade FW, IDS, IVS, IPS, NAC, Encryption and
a wide variety of other security products/appliances
- Use strong TCP/IP networking skills to perform network troubleshooting
to isolate and diagnose common network problems
- Respond to inbound requests via phone and other electronic means for
technical assistance with managed services in a timely manner (within
documented SLA) to support, threat and other cases
- Respond to needs and questions of customers concerning their access to
network resources through their managed device
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and security practices
- Resolve problems independently and understand escalation procedure
- Interface with onsite / clients to understand the quality aspects and
expectations, as needed
- Collaborate effectively with local team members and offshore staff to
create best practice processes
- Oversee continuous process improvement: documenting that the processes
are effective
- Take the lead on communicating process improvements to the management
team
- Assist the internal IT group in maintaining, supporting, building and
troubleshooting the managed services network and security environment
*Required Experience:*
*Key Competencies:*
- 2 + Years of experience with Check Point and/or Palo Alto Firewalls,
Intrusion Detection products. Additional Check Point and/or Palo Alto
product experience would also be preferred
- Knowledge of configuring, upgrading, and maintaining all aspects of
Check Point and/or Palo Alto firewall and management software.
- Knowledge of Juniper; SRX Firewalls (JunOS) a plus
- Process driven, attention to detail, comprehensive problem and
troubleshooting skills
- Must have strong written/verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, attitude of ownership, and strong desire to learn
- Ability to develop and work within standard processes
- Ability to work well under pressures and within time constraints
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong customer service skills
- Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Take responsibility for customer satisfaction and overall success of
managed services
*Additional Preferred Requirements: *
- Requires three or more years of Information Security or Networking
Experience
- CCSA – Certified Check Point Security Administrator
- CCSE – Certified Check Point Security Engineer
- ACE – Accredited Configuration Engineer (Palo Alto)
- CNSE – Certified Network Security Engineer (Palo Alto)
