*EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:* *Skills needed* *Big Data* *Hadoop* *Source Data from Hadoop* *Data Marts* *Sybase IQ - a Plus* *Experience architecting and developing solutions* *Scope* *The business use cases we are working on are focused on Performance Analysis (Unit/ Game/ Player, etc.). Data is captured from the casino floor (machine level data) and this includes very detailed data on gaming transactions (bets made, player level interactions, etc.), player info, machine info, etc. This data will be loaded into a Hadoop cluster from a data management perspective on an ongoing basis. Part of the next steps of this process is to execute the data discovery and analysis from here using various tools like Hive, MapR, Python, Pig, etc. Currently the business has questions they would like to answer via this analysis. But keep in mind that part of the data discovery process is also to identify data perspectives which are immediately not apparent. As part of the overall EDW architecture, THE CLIENT is also using HANA.
