I hope all is well! I just received a new requirement and was hoping you
would have a few consultants available who would be a good fit. I have
included the position details below. Please let me know if you have anyone
who would be a match.
*Software Configuration Manager / Sys. Engineer*
*Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX*
*18 Month Contract.*
This includes support for RTC, BuildForge, TFS, and similar products.
The resource will be responsible for project and release creation for
application in the tool set. In addition, the resource will be on point to
support various upgrades and interactions throughout the 2014.
This includes RTC 4.x upgrades, integration with Urban Code (now IBM)
technologies: uBuild, uRelease, and uDeploy.
The resource will also need to look across the Card, Deposits and Insurance
portfolio to document and run down conflicts associated with integration
into our DevOps and Independent Change programs.
This includes issues due to aging technology, development language,
build/compile, and other areas that aren't compatible with the future
strategies.
The resource will also be responsible for the training and education of the
application development resources on the various tool sets and standard
practices and processes that govern code quality and control.
The resource will also take part in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support the
corresponding tools. While calls are minimal, on target support will be
required when needed outside of normal business hours.
In addition, the person filling this role will be responsible for the day
to day improvement of the SCM operations, general practices and procedures
as well as other areas of process improvement. This may include adding
enhanced automation via scripting and other various methods to improve tool
stability and availability.
