General Summary
This position is the primary database administrator for managing the Tyler
Munis ERP application. The technical environment includes Microsoft and
third party technologies. The candidate will work closely and in
partnership with various operational support teams, development teams,
project managers, vendors, and internal clients. The goal is to ensure that
the Tyler Munis ERP application infrastructure under our management is
stable, reliable, and monitored.
Responsibilities:
1. Database Administration support.
o Provide Microsoft Sql Server DBA support
§ Create and maintain scripts and jobs
§ Install, configure and maintain SqlServer database products
§ Maintain security with database environment
§ Manage and monitor database storage
§ Manage and monitor redundancy
§ Conduct emergency failovers as needed to ensure disaster recovery
§ Backup and recovery of production, development and test databases
§ Maintain patches for bug and security vulnerabilities
§ Monitor performance to ensure efficiency
§ Provide 7X24 database support
§ Maintain standards
2. Middle tier infrastructure
o Install, configure, and maintain several middle tier environments
o Monitor F5 load balancers
o Maintain security of the application servers and databases
o Maintain LDAP integration with Microsoft active directory
o Provide 7X24 middle tier support
o Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving middle tier performance
issues in development, test and production environment
o Assist team with capacity planning
o Maintain vendor relationships to resolve issues
o Monitor and maintain licenses
o Apply latest patches for bug fixes and security vulnerabilities
o Document middle tier and configuration
o Basic knowledge of JAVA technologies
